Little Wind Story no. 4

Rachis

by Octavian Balea

There used to be here a village that survived for many hundreds of years in the harshest conditions imaginable. There used to be a brave community here, that survived without an access road, without electricity, without a medic and without a sunday market. They had a church. There used to be children playing on th streets. They survived without toys of mass production, with the trip to school being a life threatening daily 20 miles jurney they allways did by foot. The village survived for many hundreds of years without a fire department, without banks, without a post office.

But then the village all of a sudden opened it's eyes. And they saw the world. They saw the easy alternative to their tough life.

Now they're all gone. The wind blows through the broken windows of their houses and fills up the gaps in the walls.
