Little Wind Story no. 3

Suomenlinna

by Octavian Balea

There is this warrior island 10 minutes away from the most peacefull city on Earth. There was a self proclaimed french emperor that built it, but never lived to use it. There are all kinds of canons on that island: large canons, middle canons, small canons. There are all sorts of fortress walls on that island: very thick ones, normal ones and thin ones. There are many officers being buried on this island: generals, colonels and majors. There are a lot of barracks on this island: for the warrior ships, for the war machines, for the warriors.

There are many types of wind on this island: wind that carves shapes and amazing textures in the snow, wind that moves the water so big chunks of ice crash in eachother, polishing their edges, wind that gathers the snow around the canons, wind that pushes the snow towards the fortress walls, wind that hides the officers under huge piles of snow, wind that blocks the doors of the barracks.
